The courses offered by the institute are curated under the guidance from the experts of the sports fraternity and are in collaboration with the University of Mumbai and Garware Institute of Career Education & Development (GICED).
Two momentous events in the history in Indian sport occurred in September 2007. On the 24th of that month, the Indian cricket team beat Pakistan in the final of the inaugural T20 World Cup, and the country fell in love with the game’s shortest format.
After the covid-19 restrictions, it was said that the Indian sports industry will be growing at an estimated CAGR of 9.6% between 2021-2024. The revenue expected to be generated during this period was about $150 billion.
The 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup, was the 20th edition of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup, the quadrennial international football tournament in Asia competed by the women’s national teams in the Asian Football Federation (AFC). India was the host for this tournament. This was the second time that India hosted this competition, the first time being in 1979.
Harinder Pal Sandhu is a professional squash player who plays for India. He has achieved a career-high world ranking no. 47 back in September 2018 currently he stands at no. 115. He was a part of the Indian team, who won the Gold Medal at the 2014 Asian Games held at Incheon. He is a very humble and gentle human being. On the occasion of National Sports Day 2020, IISM was given this honor by the Hon. President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind Ji, in a virtual ceremony.

India was elated when Lovlina Borgohain, dominant from the first go, packed a punch and assured India a bronze medal by defeating Nien-Chin Chen in her boxing welterweight quarterfinal bout. She faced the reigning world no. 2 Busenaz Surmeneli of Turkey at the end of her race at the Olympics and performed with great spirits. She became the third Indian boxer to finish on the podium and the first Assamese woman to play at the Olympics.
