Master of Sports Management (MSM)

PGP in Sports Management (PGPSM)

PGP in Sports Management (PGPSM) is a postgraduate course in sports management, that acts as an ideal career accelerator, making you a thorough sports professional in just 11 months. This is IISM’s flagship autonomous programme, which is most suitable for working professionals & recent graduates who are looking for quick entry into India’s sports industry.

Course Duration: 11 Months Full-Time

Degree Affiliation: Autonomous – IISM

Eligibility Criteria: Must have completed graduation in any field from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 40% in all the subjects.

Sports Science Courses After Graduation

Master of Sports Science (MSS)

Master of Sports Science (MSS) is a perfect sports science course after graduation for science graduates who are keen on applying their scientific acumen in the sports industry to elevate athletic performance. Keeping in mind that India’s athletes & sporting bodies like Sports Authority of India (SAI) prioritizing applications of sports science fields, IISM has designed its MSS curriculum with leading sports science stalwarts like Dr. Pralay Majumdar & Ramji Srinivasan. So, pursuing MSS at IISM shall build an advanced level of sports science expertise for you.

Course Duration: 2 Years Full-Time

Degree Affiliation: University of Mumbai & GICED

Eligibility Criteria: Must have completed graduation with a minimum aggregate of 40% in Life Sciences or Biological Sciences, MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, any allied paramedical fields, BPED and MPED degrees, or a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science.

The eligibility criteria for enrolling in IISM’s PG sports courses are as follows:

MSM & PGPSM: Must have completed graduation in any field from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 40% in all the subjects.

MSS: Must have completed graduation with a minimum aggregate of 40% in Life Sciences or Biological Sciences, MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, any allied paramedical fields, BPED and MPED degrees, or a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science.

Whether you come from a science, commerce, or humanities background in your graduation, you can always pursue sports management after completing your graduation.

However, you should have a good understanding of sports & have a keenness to know about its business aspects.

How to Apply – Admissions Process at IISM

To enrol in IISM's sports education programmes, you'll have to go a complete assessment process, which includes an entrance exam, a personal interview (PI) round to properly gauge your aptitude & attitude for the sports industry.

  • For getting into IISM's Sports Management programmes, you have to register for SMAT (Sports Management Admission Test).

  • For getting into IISM's Sports Science programmes, you have to register for SSAT (Sports Science Admission Test).

After registering for SMAT/SSAT, you will have to submit an Essay/Caselet/Statement of Purpose (SOP), depending on your programme of choice. Post the submission, you shall appear for the SMAT/SSAT exam. If you clear the exam, you will shortlisted for the personal interview (PI) round, which is the second stage of the whole admissions process at IISM.

If you clear the interview — conducted by IISM's Faculty — you will receive a Letter of Selection (LOS) after which you can move ahead with admission formalities: document submission & fee payment to reserve your seat.
