Today here, we will discuss about one of the most important aspects of the IISM Admission Process- Sports Management Admission Test (SMAT). SMAT is IISM’s entrance test conducted online, which focuses on extracting and understanding aspirants’ liking and knowledge towards the sports domain and their acumen for the business side of sports.

The test which constitutes of 80 marks, examines the aptitude of aspirants in subjects like English, Mathematics and their interests pertaining to sports and aligning initiatives. SMAT is designed for students from diverse educational and geographical background who are passionate about sports.

Preparation on the subjects

The Test has various aspects as discussed and for each one of them, there are tips mentioned below that would help students.

• Quantitative Analysis:

Be affluent with tricks that will help in solving the number-based questions easily.
Know the formulas well to avoid spending time on word-based problems.

• Verbal Analysis:

As the name suggests, verbal analysis would comprise questions that would judge your reading and reasoning abilities. So be sure you are well aware.

• Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation:

Some piece of advice for the aspirants

  • Apply for the SMAT at the earliest so that you get sufficient time to prepare for the test.
  • Refer to the PDF document sent to you on your dashboard post applying for SMAT.
  • Solve Sample papers. This will give you idea of how the test will look like.
