IISM’s International Sports Experiential Learning Programme to Spain
IISM organized International Sports Experiential Learning Programme to Spain for its students to instill international sports knowledge in them. On Day One, students visited the Iconic Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, the Home Stadium of Real Madrid, which is one of the most prosperous Sport Clubs in the world. This Spanish club is also known for having the most luxurious and modern stadium in the world. Our students witnessed the functioning of the stadium which is a historical monument of international football, and also visited the Dugout, Dressing Rooms of players and the Museum.
On day two, IISM students visited LaLiga Business School which is at LaLiga Headquarters in Madrid. LaLiga brings football to every part of the world with 44 offices around the globe. At the Headquarters, our students attended a Certification Session on the history of clubs and LaLiga, Strategic Plan of LaLiga and its plan to expand in the Indian Market.
Our students visited Global Sports Innovation Centre- Microsoft in Madrid on day three. The students attended a session on GSIC Global Ecosystem: Challenges for Sports Industry and also got imparted with the essentials of how startups use technology in sports. This renowned company connect sports industry to the innovation. GSIC accelerated tech startups providing them with access to the international network of contacts and mentors composed by industry stakeholders.
On day four, our students attended a three-and-a-half-hour session on the Strategies of one of Most Valuable Sports Team in the World- FC Barcelona by an expert from their Strategy Team. The students got imparted with the information on the club’s new Revenue Streams, Strategy and Biz Models, Innovations, Sponsors and Partners and also details pertaining of the historic Camp Nou Stadium.
Next day, IISM students witnessed a breath-taking La Liga match between FC Barcelona and Getafe FC. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students to witness a enormous event like this and a living legend, Lionel Messi play in front of them.
Our students visited the Camp Nou stadium, one of the largest stadiums in the world and home stadium of FC Barcelona. The students visited the Multimedia Gallery, Commentary Boxes, Press Rooms, Mixed Area and Television Studio, Changing Rooms and Dugout. Students were enthralled to visit an iconic stadium that celebrates the spirit of football.
The objective of this programme was to give hands-on perspective of functioning of one of best international sporting systems. The students during the programme were bestowed with learnings that will aid them in becoming competent Sports Management professionals.
